In the search bar enter the following: in: inbox: before: 2013/01/01
It looks for any mail before 2013/01/01
Click on the following to select all the mails.This will select all the the mails that fit the search specified
Then click on the following to select all the mails fitting the criteria.
Then click on the following to archive the emails.
